{"id":448,"date":"2024-03-12T10:06:07","date_gmt":"2024-03-12T14:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.web.grading.polylogics.com\/content\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=448"},"modified":"2024-03-12T10:06:07","modified_gmt":"2024-03-12T14:06:07","password":"","slug":"legacy-crossover-policy","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.cacgrading.com\/content\/doc\/legacy-crossover-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Legacy Crossover Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our new policy is as follows:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coins graded in Virginia Beach will be considered for the \u201c+\u201d Designation&nbsp;<strong>EVEN IF<\/strong>&nbsp;they were stickered during the Legacy-1 period November 2007-June 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 2023. So, all coins that qualify for the \u201cLegacy\u201d designation, whether they earned \u201c+\u201d designations from PCGS\/NGC or not,&nbsp;<strong>WILL BE<\/strong>&nbsp;considered for the \u201c+\u201d designation in the new CAC Grading holder.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gold-stickered coins will also be eligible with no ceiling on the grade in Virginia. However,<strong>&nbsp;there will be no distinction made between the Legacy designation on a CAC-Graded coin that previously had a green sticker and one that had a gold sticker<\/strong>. Having a gold-legacy sticker designation creates the problem of needing to know the previous grade, since the CACG holder will not match the grade on the gold-stickered holder and will not always be 1 grade lower. With the new policy, all stickered coins will be guaranteed the legacy designation if they stay in the same numerical grade.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For a coin to qualify for a Legacy crossover, it must have the original cert number the coin was submitted to CAC Stickering with.
