The CAC Registry (the “Registry”) is intended to be as user friendly as possible and takes on much of the burden of building your sets. Specifically, the Registry will assemble, based on your Collection items, the highest scoring sets possible. In order to use the system in the most efficient way, there are several important things for you to know, particularly those guided by the settings in your Profile.
You may select a name that will be associated with your Sets on our leaderboard pages. If confidentiality is important to you, please be sure to choose a sufficiently obscure display name. Though it should go without saying, please keep the display names appropriate, and contact us if you believe there is an offensive name out there.

Similar to your display name, you may select an avatar image to associate with your Collection. As always, please keep these images appropriate and report anything that isn’t. The image will be cropped to a circle, and you will be
Compete with New Sets (Rank on the Leaderboard) by Default #
Default – No
The Registry will build all Sets that your Collection items may occupy, but the system does not automatically add your Sets to the Leaderboard, allowing you to compete with them. We expect that most users will not want to compete in all possible Sets, but by toggling this setting to ‘on’, you will avoid having to manually select which Sets to compete with.
Make New Sets Private by Default #
Default – Yes #
Private Sets are those that, even when ranked on the Leaderboard, do not share the details of the Sets (i.e. which items are included). We suspect most users will want to share their Collection items with other users, but if confidentiality is a concern for you, just toggle this setting to “on”.
While most users will likely compete in Registry’s Sets with their Collection items, some users may only want to use My Collection to track and organize their coins. The system will default to have this setting toggled ‘on’, but you may turn it off if you are in the latter group.
CAC graded coins, even with details grades, have a value in the Registry; this is because we believe that these coins can still be collectible. However, we acknowledge that these coins may not be the ones that users would like to display in their Sets.
If you find yourself going back and forth between individual sets and leaderboards, you might want to turn this setting to ‘on’. It’ll save you a little hassle.
By turning this preference on, you are allowing member to member contact on the CAC Registry. Other registry users will have the ability to contact your email address located on your profile.
Once you are happy with these settings, the How to Set Your Preferences article is a great reference for finding your footing.
