A low mintage in the series, as it is well under the two thousand mark, with 1,817 coins struck in 1903. Even with such a low mintage this coin is quite affordable as most were saved. Pieces without a cameo are very common. The Cameo designation brings a premium in all grades, especially the finest of gems that are quite scarce. The issue does not exist with a deep cameo.
