Frequently Asked Questions

Authorized Dealer. A CAC Authorized Dealer is a numismatic professional who works with CAC and has agreed to CAC's Dealer terms, which are designed to support professionalism, transparency, and ethical business practices.

Submission Center. A CAC Submission Center is an Authorized Dealer that has also been approved by CAC to submit coins on behalf of collectors. All Submission Centers are Authorized Dealers, but not all Authorized Dealers are Submission Centers. Not all Authorized Dealers want to submit coins on behalf of collectors, so you can filter the Dealer list above for Submission Centers if that’s what you are looking for.

The short answer is ‘yes’. Any collector can join the CAC Grading Club and submit for Grading services. However, membership that includes submitting for Stickering services is closed, so any collectors looking to submit for Stickering must work with a Submission Center.
In a word, confidence. As noted elsewhere on this page, working with a CAC Authorized Dealer provides value to you in that you can know they work with us and have agreed to our Dealer terms. Before choosing an Authorized Dealer to work with, we encourage you to review their reputation, experience, pricing, and terms. Taking a moment to do your own research helps ensure you feel informed and confident before sending coins or funds.
At a minimum, the Submission Center will charge you for the cost of the submission to CAC. Beyond that, some Submission Centers may also charge a service or handling fee for processing the submission on your behalf. It’s best to directly contact the Submission Center you are considering working with for details on their pricing and procedures.
Authorized Dealers and Submission Centers listed in this directory are independent businesses and are not owned or controlled by CAC Grading. CAC Grading is not a party to any transaction between you and a dealer. View full dealer terms.
