The 1869 comes from an extremely low mintage of 600 coins. Most were saved making this issue scarce but very accessible. Scarce in all grades. The 1869 5C becomes rare as a high-end gem. Hard to locate with cameo surfaces and nonexistent with a deep cameo. Nice toners can be found with a good bit of searching.
