The 1942-S Mercury dime is an extremely common coin in all grades and is quite plentiful even in Gem Uncirculated levels. A large number of uncirculated survivors exhibit strong strikes and, thus, are readily available with Full Bands details up through MS67. In higher grades these pieces become scarcer but can be had for a price.
