The 1942-D is the least common for the Denver Mint issues in the Walking Liberty Half Dollar Series for those struck in the 1940's. It is readily available in Mint State including gem grades up to MS67, which are a bit tougher. The finest MS68 is scarce as only a handful exist. Overall, the issue is very attractive with strong strikes and either blazing white luster or nice toning in some cases.
