The 1928 Buffalo nickel from the Philadelphia Mint is a generally common coin in circulated and lower uncirculated grades, with its mintage of 23,411,000. Though not a common coin in Gem, it is one of the easier dates to find in that grade, and dozens of specimens in the MS67 range. Strike and luster for this issue is robust.
