Rather, it is the result of -- loose retaining collar and the repeated, high-tonnage blows to bring up the detail on the double eagles -- three to five strikes per coin. Overall, wire rim $20s are two to three times more common than the flat rim $20s. Luster on the wire rim $20s is usually pretty good, and many examples exhibit yellowish-green to copper color.
