The Type 2 1917-D Quarter is a scarcer date in its series and one of the most rare among circulated grades. Scarcity begins at the gem level and true rarity in MS66. MS67 and finer are Full Head rarities. This issue comes with quality luster with some examples having beautiful toning. Striking can be a problem with this issue; which makes it an even better date in Full Head.
