The 1923 Philly $20 is, by and large, considered a common coin. However, pieces grading MS64 are noticeably more difficult to locate than their lower-grading counterparts and true Gems -- those grading MS65 or higher -- are rare. Most exhibit nice luster and are well struck, with the exception of a relative few showing weaknesses in the area of the coin in and around the Capitol building.
