The 1918/7-S Standing Liberty Quarter Overdate is one of the most important varieties and rarities of its entire century. It was found relatively quickly in the 1930’s and sold at auction for the first time in 1937. This coin is rare and valuable in the poorest of grades. The value increases gradually into Mint State, where it is extremely rare, until it takes a jump into the gem level. MS65 and finer would be considered nearly unattainable rarities.
