The 1929-D Buffalo nickel is common in lower circulated grades and scarcer in better grades. It has a mintage of 8,370,000, though not a huge supply of specimens in MS65 or better. While one of the toughest Denver-minted issues in the series at any point after 1928, it’s not nearly as rare as most of the earlier mintmarked issues.
