The 1913-D cent is a scarce semi-key date, similar to many of the other early branch-mint Lincoln cents of the period. While a tough coin in circulated grades, it is decidedly rare in uncirculated condition, regardless of the coin's color designation. As expected among any of these early Lincoln cents, the competition for nice, high-end examples by registry set collectors puts extreme price pressure for top-grade specimens, with that strong demand trickling down for other nice pieces across lower grades.
