Aside from the infamous key date 1911-D's, the 1914 is the next
rarest date in the Indian Quarter Eagle series. The 1914 is very hard to
locate as a high quality ultra-gem coin making it arguably rarer than the
1911-D's in that nice of condition. The gold for this issue has a
green-like tint which is not overly attractive but the extreme luster and
solid strike makes up for it. The 1914 is the perfect collector coin if you
are looking for something more under the radar but still an item with very
special scarcity.
