The 1938-D is quite unique within the Walking Liberty Half Dollar Series as circulated grades are rare and Mint State pieces are simply scarce. Only the 1921 and 1921-D have lower mintages as just 491,600 of this date were struck (minuscule for this era of this series). Overall, the issue is very attractive with strong strikes and white luster.
