The 1868 Shield Nickel has a very low mintage at 600 coins. Most were saved, making this issue scarce but certainly accessible. Scarce in all grades and becoming rare as a high-end gem. Hard to locate with cameo surfaces; and a true rarity with deep cameo surfaces, as only a handful exist.
