The 1917-S Type 1 Quarter is slightly more scarce than its counterparts from Philadelphia and Denver. A slightly scarcer issue when found with a Full Head as striking was not as good as the other mints for this date. Better date in circulated grades but is not very difficult to locate until MS64 with rarity increasing gradually into MS67 and finer.
