The 1874 Proof Shield Nickel has a very low mintage of 700 coins of which most were saved. Thus, this issue is tough but extremely accessible. Commonly found in most grades and becoming scarce only as a gem. Slightly harder to find with cameo surfaces and deep cameos are a rarity.
