The 1925-D is exceptionally common and is the best bet for those
looking for a singular type coin anywhere under gem condition. The Mint
pumped put quite a few of these but did not seem to replace the dies timely
enough. There is a wide variety of strike strength, mintmark visibility and
overall surface quality and coloring to choose from. When looking for one
of these there are plenty of nice ones and even more unpleasing examples so
you must be meticulous.
