The 1917-S Mercury dime is the highest-mintage S mint issue in the series from before the 1940s and is rather common in the circulated grades. Uncirculated pieces are scarce and Gems verge on rare, but those that are available generally exhibit nice luster and good strike. Full Bands specimens are very scarce, but not exceptionally so for this period of the series.
